Jeana Downey Preschool Director and Discovery Room Coordinator
Jeana Downey possesses a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University where she was involved in ministry as a Bible study leader with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Her Bachelors Degree is in Sociology and Human Development. Jeana’s experience includes five years in local preschools, as a teacher, site supervisor and a lead teacher.
Growing up, Jeana attended and participated in Vacaville Presbyterian Church and worked as summer staff at Westminster Woods. She enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, traveling to the beach and the river, barbecuing and spending time with friends and family. Her lifelong dream has been to work with preschool children.

Early Childhood Classes and raising five kids of her own.
Mrs. Crook - Classroom Teacher Aide She has been at Happy Day for many years. Most people know her as our lovely office assistant, but she has been interested in being in the classroom, so she has been taking many ECE classes, and will join our classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays as an aide, due to a higher enrollment of children on those two days.
Explorer Room
Mrs. Brumbaugh - Explorer Program Coordinator
She is the founder and curriclum coordinator/head teacher for our Explorer program. Mrs. Brumbaugh has a multiple subject teaching credential and has been actively involved in the development and revisions of this program for many years.
Mrs. Mason - Teacher Aide
She has been with Happy Day for several years and contributes joy and creative ideas to the curriculum. She is currently going to school to earn more Early Childhood units.
Adventure Room
Ruth Gilstrap - Adventure Room Coordinator
We welcome Mrs. Gilstrap both as a mother and a classroom coordinator. She has a three year old daughter and currently holds a Site Supervisor permit and an Associate of Arts degree in Child Development. She has attained 36 units in the Master of Arts degree of Education and has extensive early childhood education experience. She is fluent in four languages including Spanish and Japanese and has 19 years of diverse teaching experiences ranging from pre-school through high school.
April Mollison - Adventure Room Teacher/Building Blocks Coordinator
We welcome back Mrs. Mollison. She worked at Happy Day Presbyterian School as a Teacher/Program Coordinator, and has 15 years of teaching experience ranging from pre-school through second grade. Mrs. Mollison has her multiple subjects teaching credential and is CLAD certified. She is looking forward to working with this age group again.
Mrs. Yektaparas - Teacher
A classroom teacher who has served at Happy Day for 5 years! She has developed amazing circle curriculum and enjoys encouraging creativity within the classroom curriculum. Not only does she serve as an amazing teacher here at Happy Day, but she is deeply involved in the physical and psychological well being of her family and regularly attends both of her children's extracurricular events.
