Enjoy the time of visiting with everyone in our Happy Day Family! **  Restroom Renovation UnderwaySeptember 16, 2008 You have probably noticed some construction work here on our campus. After months of planning, consulting with the state child care office and city planning department, we are ready to begin demolition and reconstruction of the restrooms at the end of the Christian Education wing. Elie Development Company began work September 15. The renovation of restrooms was planned so that they are accessible for handicapped people and considerably more comfortable. In addition, a new restroom will be built for children inside the Christian Education Wing, which will be a great benefit to the Happy Day Explorers class. This $100,000 project is completely funded through the giving of church members and attendees to our “Bridge to the Future” building campaign, which began in 2007 and continues through 2009. Additional building improvements and a new building are also being planned. We are following several precautions to assure that children and staff are kept safe and clear of the construction zone. The project should take 6-8 weeks. During this time, if Happy Day parents need a restroom, please use the main church office or the restroom in the Agapé House (Hope Counseling). A key is available in the church main office or Happy Day office. Thank you for understanding and working around this inconvenience. I'm sure we all agree, this is for the best. |
