Ages & Stages
Want To Learn About The "Ages & Stages" of child
development through children's artwork?
Information shared at our latest "Ages & Stages" class, is available on video. Shirley Caine was asked to make a presentation to a student teacher's
class at Sonoma State University recently on how children's artwork
exemplifies a child's developmental age from 3 to 5 years. That class was
video taped and available for viewing.
Parents are welcome to request to see this video in our Fireside Room
any day at 9:15 am after bringing their child to preschool. The video runs
for about an hour. Parents who would like to make other arrangements to
see the presentation, may call the office to schedule a viewing.
Parents will be amazed to see what is exemplified at certain ages in a
logical and predictable manner. By observing children's natural
developmental small motor and artistic skills, we are often able to predict
the child's "Kindergarten readiness." We hope you will take the time to see
this video before scheduling a conference to discuss your child's current stage of development.
