Looking Toward The Next 30 Years
To offer a balanced curriculum emphasizing academic excellence as
children learn to live with faith, hope and love in a caring Christian
community.
Dear Happy Day Parents,
Happy Day Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten has been in operation
since 1976. Now after years of excellence in Early Childhood Education, we
have begun the process to expand our programming to offer further
educational opportunities by adding elementary grades over the next five
years. It is our intent to start the 2006 school year with the addition
of First Grade. In the following years we will add a grade a year to
culminate with Sixth Grade. Our success will depend on the amount of
interest we get from families such as yours.
We are developing the new programs around our core beliefs and founding
concepts which promote faith and Christian love; it is these concepts that
made our current programs so successful. Our school and your home will work
together to create an educational plan for your child. Our wholesome,
meaningful learning environment will provide the educational foundation upon
which your child can succeed and soundly grow. Within a school day,
children will be given opportunities to think convergently as well as
divergently, and consideration will be given as to each child’s
developmental readiness for social, emotional, academic and physical tasks,
so important in the early learning years of primary education. This early
learning environment will include explorations in the arts, sciences and
Spanish, as well as hands-on opportunities within the classroom learning
environment of quiet seatwork, small group study and large group discussion,
as is important to each child’s well-rounded education.
We are very excited about this opportunity to make a difference in Early
Childhood Education in our community and we will need your help! If you
would like to learn more about our vision, please contact me at 707-689-7410.
Our faith sustains us, our hope for the future awakens us and our love
of young children and their families motivates us.
Blessings Abound,
Shirley Caine,
Director
